Who Are the Friends of Anastasia?
Our purpose is to generate supplemental resources which will provide increased recreational opportunities and further enhance protection of the natural and cultural resources of Anastasia State Park. We are a non-profit, 501c3, Citizens Support Organization (CSO) for Anastasia State Park who support the park by providing programs & services that will enhance the experience of all who visit this special place.
Monthly Meetings
Our board meets monthly and are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month (@ 6:00 PM) at the State Park office (near the Amphitheater), unless otherwise noted. All Friends members are welcome & encouraged to attend.
Who are the Friends of Anastasia State Park?
- A Citizens Support Organization (CSO) for Anastasia State Park
- People who know & appreciate the many resources of the park
- People who know that our park is a special and unique place
- People who support the park by providing programs & services that will enhance the experience of all who visit this special place
What we do for Anastasia State Park
- Assist in the ranger station
- Purchase native plants for eroded areas
- Fund educational materials, guides, brochures & interpretive kiosks, etc. for the park
- Sponsor new park events & assist with established ones
- Provide volunteers for general park work, repairs & programs
