DESCRIPTION:There is no better way to celebrate than with friends; and we would like to celebrate with you! Every year we hold an Annual Friends of Anastasia State Park meeting. This meeting of Friends gives us an opportunity to let you all know what we have accomplished at our State Park in 2019 and what is being planned for 2020. \n2020 is a very special year – Florida State Parks is having a birthday – we are celebrating 85 years of service – we are planning a big birthday celebration in March while Anastasia State Park celebrates our 71st birthday (yep Anastasia State Park was established in 1949). \nWe can also use your help – we currently have several committee and board member openings\, please inquire if interested. \nPark admission is free for Friends and attendees of this event. Please join us as we recap 2019 and gear up for a fun-filled 2020 with big plans\, and as always\, lots of love for our little piece of paradise\, Anastasia State Park. \nPlease check to see when your Friends Membership Card will expire – you can renew at our Friends website (via PayPal) or you can mail you renewal (with a check) to Friends of Anastasia – 1340A A1A South\, St. Augustine\, FL 32080. You can also make a donation to Friends at either place.

You will learn about how we identify the turtle nests\, hatching\, and the great journey they begin after leaving the beach and the dangers they encounter in our oceans. This is a fun-filled\, energetic program about these miraculous animals who have been on Earth for millions of years! \nCost:\nThis program is free with regular park admission fees. ($8.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle. $4.00 per single-occupant vehicle. $2.00 per pedestrians\, bicyclists\, extra passengers\, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass).
