DESCRIPTION:Date: Sunday\, February 4\, 2024 \nTime: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.\nLocation: Anastasia State Park\, 300 Anastasia Park Road\, St. Augustine\, FL 32080 \nDescription:\nJoin us for a fun and educational hike through Anastasia State Park with one of our experienced and knowledgeable volunteers! This walk starts out on the beautiful shoreline\, continues up through the sand dunes\, and travels along the boardwalk over the salt marsh. The walk will continue along Salt Run\, our estuarine habitat\, and through the maritime hammock.\nParticipants will discover an assortment of flora and fauna that populate the several ecosystems of Anastasia\, and they will increase their knowledge of the history of the park and the surrounding area. Suggested items to bring are binoculars\, comfortable walking shoes\, a camera\, a reusable water bottle\, bug spray\, and sunscreen.\nMeet in front of the Island Beach Shop & Grill at the end of the main park road to join.\n*This event is weather permitting and subject to cancellation. \nCost:\nProgram is free with regular park admission fee. ($8.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle. $4.00 per single-occupant vehicle. $2.00 per pedestrians\, bicyclists\, extra passengers\, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass). \nFor more information please contact the park at (904) 461-2033.
