“FREE DAYS” – Free Admission to all Florida State Parks

The Florida Park Service occasionally offers free entry days, including our very own Anastasia State Park. Check the calendar for the dates of this year’s free days.

Ride for the Wild Side

This unique charity ride teams up with several state parks and CSOs. The course takes motorcyclists through some of the east coast’s finest state parks and unique Florida ecosystems, with the final destination and celebration being Anastasia State Park.

The participating CSOs split the profits at the end of the event. The event takes place yearly in March, coinciding with Daytona Beach’s Bike Week. Please visit www.arideforthewildside.com or www.facebook.com/RidefortheWildSide for more information.

Earth Day

Celebrate your love of the Earth by participating in environmental education activities at the park. Enjoy displays from local organizations as well as guided hikes, games, crafts, and other activities. This event takes place yearly in April. Please visit http://floridastateparks.org/park/Anastasia for more information.

Endless Summer Run

The 10k (6.2 mile) portion is a cross country run through Anastasia State Park’s beach, hammock, and salt marsh, taking you through some of St. Johns County’s most beautiful terrain. The 5K portion is over 90% on Anastasia State Park’s beautiful beach with the same finish line as the 10K. Both the 5K and 10K are timed for a low tide.

Participants must be fit to run or walk on soft sand, uneven terrain, mixed pavement types, and hills with sun exposure, heat, and humidity, etc. This event takes place yearly in September. Please visit http://www.endlesssummerrun.org or www.facebook.com/EndlessSummerRun.
