First Day Hike & Coastal Cleanup

Join us for our Annual FIRST DAY HIKE & BEACH CLEAN UP. We have over four miles of beach that are home to a wide variety of wildlife. We have recently had more trash than normal on our beach due to Hurricane Irma and other strong storms in the area and need all the help we can get to clean it up. Meet at the beach parking lot near Island Beach Grill where you will sign-in to participate in the program. There will be transportation down the beach to reach the more remote areas as well as rangers on patrol to collect trash bags and supply water. It can be windy so dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, bug spray, and any other items that will make your hike more enjoyable. After the hike you can enjoy a lunch at Island Beach Grill or relax on the beach and admire your hard work.
